Follicular Studies

Follicular studies involve ultrasound-based monitoring of follicular growth and ovulation during the menstrual cycle as part of fertility evaluation and reproductive treatment planning.

Follicular monitoring may assist assessment of ovarian response, follicular development, endometrial changes, and ovulation timing in selected clinical situations.

Serial ultrasound examinations may be utilized to evaluate the growth and development of ovarian follicles and to identify the dominant follicle during the ovulatory cycle. Follicular assessment may additionally assist monitoring during ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), and assisted reproductive treatment workflows.

Follicular studies may also assist evaluation of selected ovulatory conditions including Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) and other reproductive or hormonal conditions affecting ovulation.

Assessment of follicular growth and ovarian response may help guide individualized reproductive treatment planning, ovulation timing, and dosage adjustment of fertility medications where clinically indicated.

Follicular monitoring is generally performed using transvaginal ultrasound imaging during selected stages of the menstrual cycle depending on the clinical protocol and reproductive treatment plan.

Follicular studies form part of broader reproductive ultrasound assessment and individualized fertility evaluation workflows at Krishna IVF.
