Hysteroscopy-Guided Endometrial Biopsy
Hysteroscopy-guided endometrial biopsy is a gynecological endoscopic procedure in which tissue samples are obtained from the endometrial cavity under direct hysteroscopic visualization for diagnostic evaluation.
The procedure allows direct assessment of the uterine cavity and targeted biopsy from areas that appear abnormal during hysteroscopic examination, thereby assisting evaluation of selected endometrial abnormalities and reducing the possibility of missing focal pathology.
Hysteroscopy-guided biopsy may be considered in selected clinical situations including abnormal uterine bleeding, suspected endometrial polyps, focal endometrial lesions, recurrent implantation concerns, infertility evaluation, or other gynecological indications depending on clinical assessment.
The procedure is commonly performed as a minimally invasive daycare endoscopic procedure under anesthesia or sedation depending on the clinical condition and procedural requirements.
Following the procedure, some patients may experience mild cramping or light vaginal bleeding for a short period during the recovery phase.
Hysteroscopy-guided endometrial biopsy forms part of broader gynecological endoscopy, reproductive evaluation, endometrial assessment, and individualized reproductive medicine workflows at Krishna IVF.
