External Quality Control Certification
External quality assessment challenges the effectiveness of a laboratory’s quality management system. The term external refers to the fact that an organizer outside the laboratory’s organization provides a quality statement to the laboratory. Medical Testing Laboratory should design quality control to detect, reduce, and correct deficiencies in a laboratory’s examination process.
Semen Analysis is done by Sperm Class Analyzer at Krishna IVF Clinic Andrology lab. Computer-aided sperm analysis reports are also validated by External Quality Control Certification – EQASRM, an Australian firm, provides International service for reliable and objective inter-lab comparisons of diagnostic clinical and qualitative laboratory assessments in reproductive medicine. EQASRM was established by Dr. Phillip Matson in 1997 with guidance from the Fertility Society of Australia.
EQASRM was explicitly designed for IVF units and pathology laboratories performing fertility-related tests.
EQASRM now provides an international service with over 300 participating laboratories, including over 60 units based overseas.
Since 2012, Krishna IVF Clinic has been participating in the EQASRM program 2012. By participating in this program, Laboratories can see how their quantitative results and qualitative assessments compare to other labs in this field. As a result, medical Testing laboratories should design quality control to detect, reduce, and correct deficiencies in a laboratory’s examination process. Krishna IVF Clinic is one of few centers in INDIA participating in an external quality program.
