The Calibration

The calibration method that is done for each test after a specific time period. Calibration samples are tested to ensure that the machine is in proper working condition and the reports given by this fully automated machine are accurate.The patient blood samples can be tested simultaneously during calibration.Timely quality checks are crucial since the blood test reports play a vital role in clinical management at Krishna IVF Clinic.


Labelled blood samples are identified by vidas software and the required test that is selected will be performed automatically by the machine in specific time that is mentioned on the monitor.

Each disposable test kit has a corresponding solid phase particle that should be loaded in the space provided as shown in the video inorder to perform the corresponding test without any human errors. Accurate reports are a prerequisite for proper diagnosis and efficient treatment at Krishna IVF Clinic.

A hormone is a chemical messenger substance secreted in very small amounts by the endocrine glands and transported to its target cells, on which it exerts a specific action. Hormone levels in the blood reveal important information about a person’s health. A complete hormonal is a prerequisite to understand underlying cause for infertility. A hormonal imbalance may occur either due to deficiency or excessive secretion of hormones.

You’ll probably be offered a complete male/ female hormonal profile. The results of these hormonal tests help to identify the underlying pathology and determine the best course of treatment for specific individual patient. A complete female hormonal profile includes evaluating levels of Estrogen and progesterone, follicular stimulating hormone (FSH), Luetenizing hormone(LH), Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH), Prolactin , Testosterone, Thyroid Stimulating Hormoone (TSH), T3, T4, fT4, Serum Anti Thyroglobulin Antibodies(ATG), Serum Anti-Peroxidase Antibodies(ATPO).

A complete male hormonal profile includes evaluating levels of Prolactin ,Testosterone, follicular stimulating hormone (FSH)Thyroid Stimulating Hormoone (TSH), T3, T4, fT4, Serum Anti Thyroglobulin Antibodies(ATG), Serum Anti-Peroxidase Antibodies(ATPO). The estrodiol (E2) levels are measured to monitor the response to induction therapy and for egg retrieval. Accuracy and precision is important in measurement of hormones as they aid in diagnosis and treatment. We are equipped with VIDAS system a complete automated, multi parametric analyzer. It utilizes ELFA (Enzyme Linked Fluorescent Assay) technology which combines the Enzyme immune assay method with a final fluorescence reading.

VIDAS immunoassay system performs complete hormonal profile , wide panel of infectious diseases , tumor markers. All of the assay steps are performed automatically by the instrument. Each VIDAS assay kit contains everything required to carry out a specific assay: Single reagent strips , SPR (Solid Phase Receptacle) ,Standard/calibrator(s) ,Controls, Diluent , A Master Lot Entry (MLE) bar code printed on the box label.

Individual Assay kit is read by the barcode scanner and analyzer automatically applies the calibration values based one on barcode allotted to specific lot number hence minimizing the chances of human error and giving accurate levels. The single reagent strip contains all the reagents required to carry the specific assay.

Vidas run control is a control embedded with the assay protocol which allows the vidas analyzer to detect any pipetting dysfunctions which may impact the result. By default, Vidas run control will automatically run after each test thus ensuring the accuracy and precision. Total automation facilitated in VIDAS system enables precise control over the various immunoassay steps to decrease incubation time and smaller sample volumes can be used.
