Laparoscopic Myomectomy

Laparoscopic myomectomy is a minimally invasive gynecological surgical procedure performed for removal of uterine fibroids (myomas) while preserving the uterus in selected clinical situations.

The procedure may be considered in women with symptomatic fibroids associated with infertility, pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, pressure-related symptoms, recurrent pregnancy-related concerns, or selected reproductive indications depending on clinical evaluation.

Laparoscopic myomectomy is performed using a laparoscope with a light source and camera system together with specialized minimally invasive surgical instruments introduced through small abdominal incisions under anesthesia.

The procedure may involve identification and removal of fibroids, reconstruction of the uterine wall, and specimen retrieval using minimally invasive surgical techniques depending on the number, size, and location of fibroids.

Compared with conventional open surgical approaches, minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures may be associated with smaller incisions, shorter hospital stay, reduced postoperative discomfort, faster recovery, and earlier return to daily activities in selected clinical situations.

Fibroid assessment and mapping at Krishna IVF may involve ultrasound-based reproductive imaging workflows including selected applications of 3D and 4D ultrasonography for evaluation of fibroid location, size, and relationship to the uterine cavity.

Postoperative follow-up and future pregnancy planning are individualized depending on surgical findings, uterine healing, reproductive goals, and clinical evaluation.

Laparoscopic myomectomy forms part of broader gynecological endoscopy, reproductive surgery, fertility evaluation, and individualized reproductive medicine workflows at Krishna IVF.
